CHANGE OF VENUE FOR OY1 AT BRAEMAR, DALBY |
8 March 2010 By: Felicity Crosato (Organiser on behalf of Range Runners) Due to the large amount of rain received recently in the Dalby region, it has been decided to cancel this event and hold it instead on the Myers Lookout map, outside Crows Nest. The access road into the Braemar Forest traverses a lot of black soil and it is considered that it would be highly likely that it may prove impassable to most vehicles. Details about the alternative event at Myers Lookout will be on the events calendar and in the Weekly Bulletins. We apologise to anyone who may have already made plans to go to Dalby but consider getting to the alternative venue will be safer. |

Good Performances at Eureka Challenge - SILVA National Orienteering League Round 1 -Victoria |
7 March 2010 Photos by: Peter Effeney The Qld Cyclones turned in some good performances during the two day "Eureka Challenge" in Victoria this weekend. Lilian Burrill gained a second placing in both the Long Distance and Sprint Junior Elite events with team mate Kurt Neumann gaining a second in the Long and a third placing in the Sprint. An unfortunate mis-punch on Day 1 left Laurina Neumann out of the placings in the Senior Elite Long Distance, but there were no mistakes in the Sprint event in which Laurina placed second. |
